Condition of Bossons - Varnishing and Painting

The Condition of your Bossons, in my opinion, is all important.

Commonly available Bossons that have been Varnished or significantly over-painted are basically valueless.

The cost and time required to restore such a piece, far out weights its value.

This prognosis obviously does not apply the rarer Bossons.

I would much prefer a Bossons that is untouched, unless it has been restored by a competent restorer.

If it has been restored by a competent restorer, then you will not be able to notice the restoration.
