The 'Bossons Company' are probably most
renown for the producing of their 'Character Wall Masks'. These are models of heads and figurines that
were made of Gypsum Plaster and produced in high detail. All models were hand
painted.
One of the reasons that Bossons are so collectable is because of this
high detail, and realism
Gypsum Plaster is easily damaged and the value of Bossons are very dependant on
condition. A mint condition model can be worth 4 to 6 time the amount of
something in poor condition. The touching up of models is acceptable,
obviously the more professional repairs demand better prices. Common
models that have been varnishes or completely over-painted are in my
opinion almost valueless, as the time taken to restore these models far
outweighs their value.

Bossons also produced high detail Plaques and some
Pottery products.
The Pottery products are made of china and therefore less easily
damaged. However when these Pottery products do become damaged they are
more difficult to repair and the sale value usually reflect this concern.

More recently Bossons ventured into the production of high detail
plastic PVC models under the name of Fraser Art. These are again produced
in very high detail and are less easily damaged, but more difficult to
repair.
